Seasonal Excess Deaths: Targets

One of the targets for Lewisham council is national indicator 158, which is the percentage of local authority-owned social housing that are classified as ‘non-decent’. From a baseline of 50%, a target was set to reduce this to 30% by 2010/11. Another target, national indicator 187, measures progress in tackling fuel poverty through the improved energy efficiency of households inhabited by people claiming income-related benefits. The council has collected data about its performance against this indicator over the last two financial years, using survey methodology established by the Department of Health.
